Due to a research work in the frame of the initiative "Suspicion of Originality? New options for Humanities and Cultural Studies" of the VolkswagenStiftung, Christian Metz will exclusively deliver the lecture "Introduction to Literary History".
Qualification / Career
2015: Habilitation, Goethe University Frankfurt. Title of thesis: Tickling. Studies on the culture of a human sensation.
2008: PhD, Goethe University Frankfurt in Modern German Literature, title of thesis: "Die Narratologie der Liebe. Achim von Arnim's Countess Dolores". Overall grade: summa cum laude
1999: Study visit to Chile and Ecuador. In cooperation with the Botanical Institute of the Goethe University, the Senckenberg Museum (Frankfurt), the Foundation Omaere (Paris, Quito) and the Universidad Catolica (Quito)
